I work across oils, acrylics, pencil, ink, markers, charcoal, etching, wood burning, linoleum block carving, and hand-cut stencils. My foundation is realism—especially portraits and animals in oils—paired with a graphic sensibility that lets me shift into bold, simplified work when the piece demands it.
About Me
I work across a wide range of mediums—oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, graphite, ink, charcoal, and digital illustration. If there's a way to make a mark, I've probably tried it. I'm detail-oriented by nature, sometimes to a fault, and that shows up in everything I create.
My work spans character portraits, creature design, animals, and abstract compositions. What ties it together is my approach: combining realistic rendering—especially in faces and eyes—with looser, more expressive elements. I like the contrast between precision and spontaneity, between what's carefully observed and what's felt.
I work from references—photos, images, studies of artists whose work I respect. But the process of translating those references into a finished piece is where my choices come in: what to simplify, what colors to shift, where to add detail and where to pull back. That translation is what makes it mine.
I also do graphic design work—logos, apparel concepts, branding. The same principles apply: clarity, impact, and attention to craft. Whether I'm painting a canvas or designing a logo, I'm thinking about composition and how the piece communicates.
I'm not interested in making art that looks effortless. I want you to see the work, the decisions, the care that went into it. If it makes you stop and look closer, I've done my job.

Drawing is where my realism foundation lives. I work with professional H and B pencils for detailed shading and tonal control, ink for clean linework, markers for bold graphic statements, and charcoal for expressive value studies.

Traditional Painting
Oils are my preference for portraits and animals—the extended working time lets me blend color the way realism demands.
Acrylics move faster but make lifelike blending harder for me. I choose them for pieces that benefit from boldness and speed.

Beyond canvas and paper, I explore tactile craft techniques: Dremel etching on aluminum, wood burning with pyrography tools, linoleum block carving, and hand-cut stencils with X-Acto precision. These processes force me to simplify—letting shape and contrast lead over micro-detail.
